If you provide regular unpaid care or support to a family member, friend or loved one, you are not alone. Sheffield Carers Service offers free advice, information and support to adults who care for someone with an illness, disability, frailty, mental health problem or substance misuse issue.
Their team of specialist Carer Advisers can provide support with a wide range of issues, including carers’ assessments, support groups and cafés, legal advice, planning for emergencies and finding opportunities to take a break from caring. They also offer a confidential Carer Advice Line, where you can talk about your caring role and how it may be affecting your wellbeing.
You can contact the Carer Advice Line on 0114 272 8362. You can also refer yourself directly to Sheffield Carers Service to find out what support is available.
