RSV Vaccine
You may have heard of a new vaccine called the RSV vaccine that is being rolled out in September 2024. This is to help protect against respiratory syncytial virus which can cause pneumonia. For more information on the vaccine, please visit:

Covid Winter Booster
We will soon be receiving our delivery of Covid-19 vaccinations for the Winter Booster campaign. We will be delivering these vaccinations to our housebound patients initially, due to commence in October 2025. The eligibility criteria for the winter booster has changed this year. Patients aged over 75 and individuals who are immunosuppressed will be offered the vaccination. We have upcoming clinics on the Friday 10th October and Friday 17th October. Flu Vaccine
The flu vaccine is recommended for people at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu.
You can get the free NHS flu vaccine if you:
- are aged 65 or over (including those who will be 65 by 31 March 2026)
- have certain long-term health conditions
- are pregnant
- live in a care home
- are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
- live with someone who has a weakened immune system
Frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer.

Child Nasal Flu Vaccine
Flu can be very unpleasant for children and can sometimes cause serious problems, such as pneumonia.
Children can catch and spread flu easily. Vaccinating them also helps protect others who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from flu, such as babies, anyone who’s pregnant and older people.
It’s recommended for:
- children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025 (born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2023)
- school-aged children (Reception to Year 11)
- children aged 6 months to 17 years with certain long-term health conditions
